Porter new back pack

What is a Mom to do when their kid is being so cute and funny? That is right take pictures of it!! Porter really wanted to wear this mobile and run around the house singing and dancing. He just knows how to put a smile on your face and give you a great memory. Thank you Porter for you sweet personality. I love you!

So Cute!!

This never happens anymore so when it does you have to record it. After a long day with family and Porter not getting a nap on time he fell asleep in his Daddies arms. It is just so cute how little kids feel so comfy in their parents arms. Why is it so cute to see kids sleep in their parents arms? I don't know but I will take it anytime.

The Holidays 2010

This year we had two wonderful Christmases. One in California before we went to Utah. Porter got some crazy awesome things this year. I think the one thing that he liked the most was his golf clubs or maybe all of his Toy Story toys. Who knows he just loves presents and gifts.
This year was I think funnier for Tim and I to watch Porter get excited about leaving cookies and carrots for Santa and the reindeer. Then to wake up to see what Santa left for him. Does ever year just get better and better?

Christmas afternoon the Wright family got together like we do every year for gift exchanged. I just thought it was so cute to watch Porter with his cousin Alli. He really loves his cousin!

Oh and yes we had to throw the snow that we saw while we were here. What a great trip!!!!

Farmers Market

Yes it is November and I have my kid in shorts! Yet we do live in Camarillo where the weather doesn't ever change. Still it is fun to go out and see what there is to do. We went to a Farmers Market early. We heard that if you want anything good you go early. Clearly are 9 o'clock early time it still to late cause a lot of good stuff was gone. Porter had a lot of fun tasting all the food he could. If he didn't like one he would let you know. Still he loves seaweed, he really is his father's son. I am just glad we were able to get out and enjoy something new in Camarillo.

Halloween

It was a little hard to get Porter into his costume. He cried and would not let me go for awhile. Once we got him calmed down it was a good night to trunk and treating,

That's right he is Buzz Light Year. He really wanted to be Woody but we couldn't find any costumes.
We had a fun time Trunk or Treating at the ward house. In Camarillo it is more of a stake thing. So you end up with more treats. Which as parents is a good thing! It is nice when your kids still want to share their candy with you. I also like the fact that you are done in have the time with just going the parking lot.
I love this picture of Porter just loving his pill of treats. He tried to eat everything in site. We first told him that we had to check the candy and make sure that it was safe. He is just glad that he could finally eat the candy.

I'm Pregnant

After finally telling both sides of our family we can finally tell the world. We found out I was pregnant before we moved to California. Now just figuring out how to tell the family was the tricky thing. We first told Tim's family. Jenni was the first more cause she kept asking question and who likes to lie. We then told his parents, we went to the beach house where they where staying and handed Jerry a present. It was the Willow tree of the grandpa. It took his parents a little while to figure out that we were telling them. Once they figured it out that we were telling them that we are pregnant his Tim's Mom jumped up and gave big hugs and started to cry. Jerry was just so excited and gave us a hug.
How we told my family was actually on our family vacation. We took a picture (which we don't have.) and had my family look at it. With a subtitle on the bottom saying that Cheri is 12 weeks pregnant. Again it took some people longer then others. Once they figured it out they came and gave us hugs.
It is so much fun telling your family that you are pregnant.  They are just as excited as you are. Now everyone can join in the celebration.

Wright Family Vacation

The Wright Family Vacation for 2010 was so much fun. I wish I got more pictures of all that we did. I guess that is what happens when you are caught up in all the fun. Matthew and Annie set it all up for us and it was one of the best ones that we have ever had. All of the family was able to stay in one cabin. (I don't know how much longer that will happen.) It was just fun to be able to have everyone  around and you can just talk and feel so relaxed.
Every family was in charged of a meal and an activity. It was fun to see what new activity that we were going to do. One of the activities was Minute to Win it. It was a hoot watching my Mom try and put an Oreo from her forehead to her mouth. She is a good sport for playing this game. My Mom never gives up on anything. I just wish I had pictures of it.
I just want to tell my family thank you for all of their love and support that they give me. I love you all and I can't wait for the next Family Vacation.

Underwood Family Farm

We thought that it would be fun for Porter to go and see some animals and feed them too. The Underwood Farm is really cool and as alot to do for kids. It you are ever out int Semi Valley you should go and see it you won't be sad that you did. Just make sure that it's not the hottest day of the year.
Cute little Buddy he thought all the pumpkins where so much fun.
I think his favorite thing was being able to feed all the different types of animals. He was hard for him to stop feeding one animal and move on to the next.

Yes even Nanners got in the spirit of the farm.

This tire tunnel was one of Porters favorite. It was one thing that really no adult can fit in but perfect for a little child.

This tracked that he is driving was pretty cool. On one side of it they made a slide. I took Porter down that slide and we flew down that thing. I am not so sure if it is safe for adults or kids. I went down so fast that I trapped my knees under me. It really was funny when you think about it. Just be careful for what happens at the end of a tunnel!!
They even had a corn maze. Linda and Jerry do not like corn mazes and they did it for me. They are good sports.

What a great day outing it was. Just again make sure it's not the hottest day of the year. By the end of it you might not have any energy to walk to your car. That really was the hardest thing for me by the end of the day.
Thank you Mom and Dad for a wonderful memory that I will not forget.
