The Adjustment

Now that we ave been for a couple of days I will say that the adjustment has been better then I thought it would be. Porter now asks every morning where is the baby. He wants to hold her all the time. He just loves his baby sister. He just wants to help out when ever he can and tells me that I need to get her when ever she cries. He is already looking out for her.
She really has been a pretty easy baby. She just wants to held all the time. I guess I should have known cause that is how Porter was and still is. She wakes up about once and night and goes right back to sleep. The only thing right now is that she can't seem to keep anything down. I hope that will end soon cause I just don't know how much more I can watch her seem to suffer.
It is so much fun to have two kids right now. They both have so much to offer and I can't wait to see what else they bring to the family.

Eleanor Kate is here

Our little Miss Eleanor is here . She arrived May 20 and 1:23 am weighing in at 7lbs 11oz and 19 1/2 inches long. I am glad to report that She and mommy are doing good. She really is a beautiful baby girl and is a great joy in our family.
Everyone always wants to know the story of how it went. I will tell you this labor was a lot easier the Porter's. Let me just start the story on May 19. I was schedule for a stress test and going out of my mind of what could happen or what they could find. I just wanted her to be OK.
They strap the monitors on you and check her heart rate and my contractions. They were saying that if her heart rate doesn't start to pick up they will have to induce me. Lucky for us her heart rate started to pick up. After the test I had an appointment with my Doctor. We finally set up an appointment to be induce for the next day unless she comes before that.
We finally got home after being at the doctors for about two hours. I was tired and just wanted to go and take a nap. That is when the contractions started. They were about ten minutes apart and the being of the hour and down to five minutes apart by the end. I just wasn't ready to go to the hospital. It was about 6:30 pm when I was ready to go cause I couldn't handle back labor any more. They got me all set up and the epidural finally came. Finally the back labor was gone. I now feel for all the woman out there that have felt or gone through back labor.
All we were waiting for was my water to break. Finally about one in the morning it broke and now we are just waiting for the doctor to show up. Then finally she came to us with all the crying in the world. It is a great sound when for nine plus months you have been waiting to hear.
After all the cleaning and measuring was all done she calmed right down. I hope that is a sign for things to come.

When Porter arrived I think he was more excited to she Tim and I that when he finally got to see and hold Eleanor he wasn't sure what to do. Really he didn't want to hold her, but he was really nice to her. I think right now that is all we can ask for.

Front Runner

We finally made it on to the front runner for the first time. Porter thought it was the coolest thing ever. He kept saying this Choo Choo is awesome. I love being able to watch little kids faces just enjoy the little things in life. Plus it was fun cause our friend Jessica came in to town and we were able just to hangout. I just hope that we will be able to enjoy more in life with that sweet little boy.

Church Museum

At the church museum they have a hands on kids section. It is fun for kids and parents. The best part is that not crowded. Plus really your kid could enjoy it for hours. What a great way to spend an afternoon.

So they have this dance section and Porter only wanted to dance with a skirt on. He was like Mom can I have a dress so I can dance. He is so cute no matter what he does.

Tim's Birthday

For Tim's Birthday we went to a Bees game. I know that he loves sports and because it's not college football season yet the next best thing is baseball. Porter was so cute. As we were walking in the have the huge sign of the Angles logo underneath the Bess sign. Porter just start screaming we are going to a Angels Bees game. It just made us started laughing. Porter takes after his Daddy with the love of sports. I am just glad that Tim had a great Birthday. I love you Tim and I can't wait to spend more birthdays with you.

5 Years

Tim and I have been married for 5 years. It really has been the greatest 5 years of my life. Yes, we have gone through up and downs, but we are celebrating every moment that we have had together. This year we really lived it up and went all out. It was nice just to get away! We went to one of our favorite places Midway. We stayed at the Zermat and upgraded to one of their Penthouses. It was maybe one of the best hotel stays that we had. They really know how to make their guest feel special.

When we walked in Our bed was covered in roses and I just thought that the Swans kissing was really cute.
We kind of got there a little on the late side. We started our night in downtown Salt Lake at what we call one of our restaurant Biaggi's.

A weekend away with just my husband was nice and Yummy. If you ever make it to Midway there is a pizza joint that is just so good. We think that it is called Galleria Cafe. Ask around people will let you know cause everyone knows how good that pizza is.
We had to take a picture of the belly so we would remember that I was pregnant and almost due.

Thank you Tim for 5 great years. I could ask for a better husband in the world. You are not just the greatest husband but also a great father. Thank you again for all that you do for us. I love you so much.

Baby Chair or Porter Chair?

Everyday Porter gets in this baby chair and seats forever. He just thinks this is the best thing ever. I am not sure if he will let Eleanor play with it. It is just so cute to see him get so excited about the little Papasun.

Baseball Begins

In our house it really is never to early to start playing baseball. Baseball is a big part of our lives. It really is so nice to watch Porter and his Dad play. Tim loves playing and teaching his son all about sports. Porter really couldn't ask for a better Coach in his life like his Dad. I just love the fact that Porter loves all kinds of sports and wants to go and play them. Keep up the good work!

April Never Seems to Surprises Us

It is so crazy what April weather brings. Still it does keep you on your toes!!! It took Porter a little time to know what to do with the snow. He still will not go into the snow. I am hoping that maybe next season he might want to really play in it. With him staying on the side he still had a lot of fun. If you could have he would loved to have snowball fight with his Dad. If  you look close enough his Dad did try to start one. I tell you what BOYS never grow up.

Discovery Center at the Gateway

The Gateway Discovery Center is really cool. It is just nice that there is so much hands on for the kids to learn. Porters favorite was with the plastic balls. He just couldn't get enough.

Playing with the car and giving it gas made him feel like he was an adult. I hope that I will be able to take him back there soon.

At the grocery part of it was really fun for him and funny to watch him. You would see all these other kids just try and feel up their carts. Porter on the other hand would be very selected and only choose a few things. He is a very smart shopper. It takes that after his Daddy.

It was a really rainy day so no one wanted to go outside and play with the helicopter. Luck for us it didn't make us feel like we had to rush. Porter enjoyed everything about it. He wanted to touch everything and really was trying to make it fly. I think that his face says it all. Just glad that we got to go.

March Family Get Together

This is what happens when the family gets together and Porter is surrounded by girls. They dress him up in a lot of dress up cloths. He thinks its so much fun to make the girls happy in his family. What more could you ask for. A little boy that wants to make people happy. He really is a good sport!

St. Patrick's Day 2011

I really do try and make holidays fun. I might not be the best at it but at least Porter had fun. We first colored and then I did a little scavenger hunt. Really it was more of follow the shame rocks to your treasure. (I wish the video would upload so you could see how happy he is.) What kid wouldn't love finding candy at the end of the hunt. Happy St. Patrick's Day!!
