February

What can I say about the month of February?! We had some fun times with not so fun times. I guess I will start by telling you about our fun time. As we all know Valentines is in the month of February. This year Tim and I got to actually go out just the two of us. My Sister Trina was so nice to take Porter for the night. Thank you again Trina and her family for helping us out. It was so nice just to get out just the two of us. We don't get to do that as often as we like. We actually had adult conversation and can actually concentrate on us. We decided that we would eat at the Olive Garden cause we had a gift card. We lived it up, got an appetizer, our meal, and dessert. That doesn't happen often so it was nice. After we were so full from all of the delicious food we ate we just came home watched a movie and went to bed. It felt nice not to have to worry about time and our little guy. I think we need to do that more often Sweetheart.
Now the last part of our month didn't turn out that great. The day after Valentines Porter gets a fever and is down. He wouldn't drink much or even eat any food. All he would do was sleep. I have never seen him this way it was really sad to watch. When he was awake he just wanted to be held and that didn't last long. After three days of him just sleeping and him having a high fever. I finally took him in to see the Doctor. Come to find out he had a double ear infection. Which I was so glad that it was that and not Mono. Which I was starting to think it was cause I could pick him and try to wake him but he would only open his eyes for two minutes before going back to sleep. I guess it was nice that he was in the mood to be lazy cause Tim and I both got sick and needed to rest. All and all the last two weeks of February were all about getting the family better. Thank goodness we are all doing great now. Porter is back to his cute little normal self.

Sun Devils

Tim is going back to school and these are his newest friends (this is his team, Herd of Zebras). He is going to Arizona State University so that he can get his MBA. All of his classes are online however we get to go down to Tempe twice during the program. The visits are in January so it is a nice vacation from the cold and inversions here in Utah. When we went this January we had 60-70 degree weather the whole time.

We will get to go down a third time for graduation at the end of the program too. That will be in December 2011, another great time to be in AZ. It would suck if the trips were in July or August. Winter suits down there just fine.

Jam Packed!!!

At the beginning of 2010 we happen to be in the state of California. Which was a nice change giving that it was so cold in Utah. We enjoyed our 70 degree weather. We decided just to stay in California for almost a month cause Tim had things to go to and it beat driving back and forth from Utah. Hello really does anyone really like driving in the snow? We had some crazy time there and I just thought I would share our January's journey with you.

This is Porter our Rock Star! Shocking he really does like glasses.

Tim's Grandpa Newhard (Porter's Great Grandpa) made this thing that the family calls a Hocus-Pocus. It is a high chair, desk, and a car. While we were there Porter just played with it all the time.

Really if we wanted to know where Porter was we would find him by the Hocus-Pocus.

Just a picture of Porter and his Pappy Newhard. He loves his granparents.

That's right it is Porter playing in, what he is now way to big for, Jungle Jim for babies. I tell you what some kids never want to grow up cause the love what they had. Yet if we took him out of it he would get so mad. We all thought it was better for him to play in it the to cry.

Every meal time this is how Porter sat in the high chair. I couldn't help but take some pictures of his cute face. Oh yes, and his legs. What a silly boy!

Porter and his Uncle Hugh just had so much fun together. Porter just loved every time that his Uncle would come over and play with him. They have a great relationship. So glad he has his Uncle Hugh.

Yes, we are kissing and yes we still like it. Isn't that what you do?

Jerry and Linda are great parents and a good example of what love looks like of being married for 30+ years. Linda is laughing cause Jerry tried to slip her the tongue. You go Jerry!
We finally gave in to Porter having a sucker. Good thing dum-dums are small. The perfect size for a little guy.

You can tell that he just loves it. With all the drool all over his face.
Porter thought it was the greatest thing that there was a computer his size. Porter always wants to be doing stuff his Daddy is doing. Working on the computer is his favorite thing to do. Just thank goodness he is really good and playing with electronics.

He found a new game to play. That is to jump on the bed and then hide behind the pillows.

Jenni got attack by some birds.
Can't bet them might as well join them.

We saw some beautiful sunsets while we were there. Didn't know how Porter would do on the sand. Last time we went to the beach he wanted nothing to do with it. However this time was a different story. He would just run and run and run. It was so fun just to watch him enjoy himself.

He is just so cute and tinny next to the ocean.

I love this picture of Porter running after his Daddy.
He thought it was cool how the water would come up and then go back down. Yet would run away if it got to close.

We also went to the Channel Island Monument. If you ever get the chance you should go and check it out. It's not that big, but it is fun. Porter had a blast at what they had to show.

Maybe not so much when it came to being in the cave.
Or maybe not.

He loved to seat on the dolphin. We put him on the seal but wanted to get back on the dolphin. I think he takes after me with loving dolphins.

Just enjoying what the Monument had to offer. It really is pretty up on the third floor. The sunset looked amazing form up there just ask Tim.

Three generations. We just call them the Newhard Boys.

This is my all time favorite picture of my boys.
We decided that Porter was old enough for a PB&J sandwich. He ate the whole thing and just has fast as he could. He just doesn't realize his not the napkin. There was jam all over his hair, his cloths. It was crazy and very messy. He had a fun time and we had a fun time watching him.

This is just somethings that Porter loves to do in his chair.
#1 Eat popcorn and watch movies.
#2 Play PSP (Play Station Portable.)
#3 Relax.
These are just some funny cute pictures of him driving the car.

Oh yes we spent another day down at the beach. It was just so much fun to be with Tim's family.

Jerry and Linda
Hugh and Jenni.

I thought that I would try and push Porter in a swing. He has never liked swings. Pretty much I got three pushes in and he was done. Screaming get me out of this thing!!!
Yet the other playground toys he enjoyed. That is a big step up for not liking any of the toys. Pretty much playgrounds were out. Now we might have a better summer.

Looks like Pappy can't get of the playground either.

After our long stay in California this is what we came back home to. Crazy amount of snow. We were sad to see all that snow. However Porter on the other hand loved playing in the snow.
