A Day at the Beach

Being in California you always have to go and visit the beach. We decided to go and make a afternoon trip and go and make sand castles. Now I haven't built sand castle for most of my life so I have forgotten how. I thought this will be fun and to see how Porter would also like the beach.

This picture is the closest thing I could get to how Porter really felt about it when we first got to the beach. He was so mad that we tried to put him down on the sand. He just hates to be dirty. I think it took us a good half hour for him to really be able to put him down. Thank goodness for the towel. That was the only place he would stand by himself.

After all the drama he finally warmed up and started to play on the beach. He had so much fun picking out rocks and playing in the water. Well more he liked that he could bring the water from one place to another.

This is me trying to build a sand castle. I am going to need a little more work on my skills of sand castle master.

The joys of being a kid.He really was happy at the end. It was a good day at the beach. We will just have to wait and see what happens next.

Yay for the California Beach baby! I remember Alexis first beach/sand experience. She wouldn't let Justin put her down either, but by the end of the day we were running after her to keep her from plowing in to the ocean waves. Glad to see you guys are settling in and enjoying your new home. Miss you guys!

So fun, I can't get my girls to stop EATING the sand!! Anytime we are at a playground that has sand both of my girls got straight to the sand and it ALWAYS ends up in their month!! ps I'm sad we didn't get to hang out before you moved, but we might be headed to So Cal next year if he gets into this school he interviewed for. Crossing our fingers he gets in! What part of Cali are you in? IF you reply back do it in facebook or on my blog. :) miss ya
